Heating and cooling of buildings consumes a large part of the total energy used in our society. “Betonika” as a member of Consolis group uses efficient thermal insulation systems for precast buildings, allowing thermal energy to be reduced to a strict minimum.
Sandwich elements consist of two concrete leaves with an insulation layer in between. Precast façade panels have an internal insulation layer. The insulation is continuous over the entire panel surface without any cold bridge.
Precast concrete walls can also consist of one concrete leave and insulating layer. In that case the building is plastered on the site. The thickness of plaster is from 7 up to 10 mm. The different reinforced plaster systems are used. Such kind of surface finishing allows obtaining the solid façade.
Institute of Architecture and Construction of Kaunas university of Technology has executed the calculations of thermal insulation for the precast concrete wall with the layer of 300 mm stone wool. The scientists have stated the precast concrete wall with the insulation mentioned above has thermal resistance Rt = 6,64 m2×K/W.
