Fire resistance

Precast building structures in reinforced and prestressed concrete normally assume a fire resistance of 60 to 120 minutes and more. For industrial buildings, the normal required all types of precast components without any special measure meet fire resistance of 30 to 60 minutes.

The hollow core slabs of standard profiles have a fire resistance of 60 to 120 minutes. „Betonika“ is able to produce the hollow core slabs with a fire resistance up to 180 minutes.

The fire resistance of I-beams is up to 60 minutes.

The verification is done according to the methods and requirements set forth in national standards and Eurocode 2 - Part 1-2 " Structural fire design".

The fire tests on precast concrete units were executed in the laboratories of Europe.
